Announcing new workshop dates! Connect with the Spirit of the Horse

January workshops announcement

Thanks for your interest in my mindful art workshops: Connect with the Spirit of the Horse!

These two new workshop opportunities have just opened up:

Online: Spirit of the Horse – for Wellness:
Saturday, January 17, 2026, 3-5pm ET • $50
This special workshop session is co-hosted by the sanctuary at Pregnant Mare Rescue and Beyond Liberty. All the horses you'll see during the workshop are residents of these sanctuaries, so it's a great way to get to know them better! A portion of the proceeds from your registration will go to support the rescue horses and the educational programs they run.

Online: Spirit of the Horse – for Artists:
Saturday, January 31, 2026, 3-5pm ET • $45
Ever feel “stuck” in your creative practice or overwhelmed by the critical voice in your head? This workshop is a hands-on opportunity for both professional and hobby artists to learn mindful art practices that can get the creative juices flowing and reconnect you with creative joy. Whether the horse is a regular subject for you or totally new, you’ll connect with horses in new and surprising ways!

What's great about doing this workshop online?

  • Small group size: Limited to 16 participants for a personal and supportive atmosphere.
  • Comfortable participation: Join from home in a familiar setting.
  • Privacy assured: You control whether or not you share what you create.
  • Mindful presence: No recordings—just a live, immersive experience.
  • Choose how you show up: If keeping your camera off supports your participation, that’s okay! Show up however works best for you – bring snacks, move around, get cozy!

Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you there!
Jeanne

Making a lot of art... so what? I made a lot of art this June! Sometimes it’s like that - I churn through paper and am overflowing with ideas. Other times things slow to a trickle. Hanging up art to look at it after a painting session on my birthday. Now in my fourth decade making art, I’m noticing I don’t get as hung up on my pace. An irresistible moment with a mustang One quiet morning in March, I sat down on a shady bench in a pasture. The two mustangs living there seemed undisturbed by my presence, so I pulled out my sketchbook and began to draw them. After a while, Willow - who I had never met before that day - approached me and positioned herself standing over me, her heart center near mine. She softly inspected my drawing and me, and stayed there - soft eye, relaxed body. Click the image to watch the video on...
